Last year we were overjoyed to be offered the opportunity to help bring such a monumentally honest account of grief and love from page to screen. From our first conversation with cinematographer Charlotte Bruus Christensen ASC, we knew the film would be something extraordinary; visually grounded in nature, emotionally restrained, and crafted with her signature sensitivity to light and texture.

H Is for Hawk is directed by Philippa Lowthorpe (BAFTA-winner) and adapted from the international bestselling memoir by Helen Macdonald. The film stars Claire Foy as Helen and Brendan Gleeson as her father. Produced by Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, alongside executive producer Brad Pitt, for Plan B Entertainment, in association with Film4 and Good Gate Media.
Set between Cambridge and the wild landscapes of Wales, the film beautifully captures a woman's search for healing through her bond with a fierce and untamed goshawk named Mabel. Both intimate and expansive, it explores grief, nature, and renewal with quiet power and visual poetry. Early audiences have praised its breathtaking cinematography, soulful performances, and its ability to find hope and strength in the wilderness.
